Godiva’s 90th Anniversary
Immersive chocolate evening
In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Godiva hosted an immersive chocolate evening at the Albert Hall in Brussels, the brand's home city. The event guided 140 guests through a multi-sensory experience that highlighted Godiva's rich heritage and innovative future.
Guests entered the art deco venue along a path of fragrant hazelnut trees, leading to the Heritage Room, where Godiva's legacy was honoured. Chef Chocolatiers showcased their talents through live, interactive demonstrations, and an ‘Aroma Organ’ allowed guests to experience the diverse ingredients used in Godiva chocolates.
The second part of the evening took place in the Multi-Sensory Room, where oversized chocolate pods enabled guests to experience chocolates through all five senses. These interactive tasting pods, based on neuroscience from Oxford University, enhanced the unique characteristics of chocolates from Godiva’s new Gold Anniversary Collection.
A stunning dining experience, inspired by the new ‘Rose & Raspberry’ flavour, closed the evening. Michelin-starred Chef Christophe Hardiquest collaborated with Godiva to create dishes that reflected this new flavour. Belgian artist Oli-B contributed a technicolour mural in the main room, made from art pieces brought by the guests.
To complement this immersive event, I created all the audio elements, including sound design for the interactive tasting pods, which enhanced the flavors experienced in each pod. I also composed music and soundscapes for the entire event, providing an auditory backdrop that enriched the multi-sensory journey. Additionally, several soundscapes were designed to accompany the dinner, creating a cohesive and immersive atmosphere throughout the evening.
